This Is Our First Look At Boeing's MQ 25 Tanker Drone Carrying A Refueli...

Working to make sure it has the federal support it needs." We now have our first look at Boeing's MQ-25 carrier-based tanker drone test article, also known as T1, carrying a Cobham buddy refueling store under its wing. Senator Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat from Illinois, Tweeted pictures of T1 after a recent tour of MidAmerica Airport, where work on and various testing of the unmanned demonstrator have been going on for more than a year now. Duckworth said she had visited Boeing's facilities at MidAmerica last week as part of a larger visit. The airport, which is adjacent to Scott Air Force Base, is situated in the southwestern end of Illinois, approximately 18 miles east of St. Louis in neighboring Missouri. Boeing moved T1, which also carries the U.S. civil registration code N234MQ, there in April 2019 and that's where it took its first flight five months later. #WhyYouShouldTrustDroneShipsAndUnmannedTech #Exclusive: The Air Force’s Secret New Fighter Jet Uses F1-Style Engineering #HOW THE F 35 GOT TO BE SO EXPENSIVE #Is Augmented Reality the Future of Dogfight Training? This Company Thinks So Link Source :

The U.S. Military Plans To Replace The Iconic Humvee On Future Frontlines

Navy and Marine Corps leaders have produced a new 40-page "campaign plan" to better explain to Congress, the public and even members of their own forces why unmanned ships and aircraft are not to be feared. The Navy Department's Unmanned Campaign Framework was published Tuesday, two days before top leaders are due to testify about the future of drone technology on Capitol Hill. #MilitaryHeadlines, #USNavyTopics, #MilitaryTechnology, #GearandEquipment link source : https://youtu.be/My5csaHwh1E  @Military News Update   @MILITARY TECHNOLOGY CHANNEL

The US Army Is Testing a Devastating New Weapon: A Super Bazooka

In 1946, two Swedes named Hugo Abramson and Harald Jentzen designed the Carl Gustaf, which at the time appeared to be just another recoilless rifle like the famous bazooka. Many of these weapons fell out of use in the following decades as anti-tank missiles took over. But the Carl Gustaf stuck around — and for a different role than Abramson and Jentzen had planned in the 1940s. For one, it’s now just as much an anti-infantry weapon owing to its range, low cost and types of ammunition. #SuperBazooka, #Weapon, #Bazooka, #M3e1, #M3e1A, #Weapons, #MilitaryWeapons, #MostInsaneWeapons, #MostWeapons, #USBestWeapons, #InsaneWeapons, Link Source : https://youtu.be/W7gTw3WdHSk

Exclusive: The Air Force’s Secret New Fighter Jet Uses F1-Style Engineering

Our clunky, Cold War-era process of defense procurement is in need of a major refresh. While it still produces world-leading military systems, its escalating timelines and cost are unsustainable byproducts. The stark contrast with commercial industry warns the U.S. military may have peaked, unless we find a better way—soon. Right on cue, then, here comes digital engineering, a new commercial technology that’s lending a legitimate art form to military weapons-buying with revolutionary, even stylish results. (Yes, we just used “art form” and “weapons-buying” in the same sentence.) #Aircraft, #FighterJet, #Planes, #MilitaryTechnologyChannel, #Military, #FighterJets, #6thGenerationFighterJets, Link Source : https://youtu.be/YNpUK61VOXs

Could This Helicopter - Jet Hybrid Replace the V 22 Osprey?

Bell Textron—a Fort Worth, Texas-based aerospace manufacturer—released concept art last week for a novel High-Speed Vertical Takeoff and Landing (HSVTOL) aircraft. The vehicle is noteworthy because it takes off and lands like a typical helicopter, but flies like a fixed-wing aircraft. The concept art and development plans are the result of an Air Force study seeking to create a plane that could replace the service's V-22 Ospreys. #Helicopter, #BellHelicopter, #V22Osprey, #V22Helicopter, #NextGenerationHelicopter, #MilitaryHelicopter, #FutureHelicopter, #DefiantXHelicopter, https://youtu.be/oMdGhKpCvYo

The U.S Navy's Laser Weapon in Action

In late January, the US Navy dropped $150 million on a pair of new laser cannons. One of the so-called "High Energy Lasers," built by Lockheed Martin, is destined for testing on land. The other is going to sea aboard an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer as early as 2020, potentially making it the world's first large, war-ready "directed-energy" weapon. #USNavy, #Navy, #Laser, #UnitedStatesNavy, #LaserWeaponSystem, #Destroyer, link Source : https://youtu.be/FOs0X8yQUzg

Air Force Testing Out Weapons That Fry Enemy Drones with Directed Energy

The U.S. Air Force is testing new counter-drone systems that use either direct energy or microwaves to take out unmanned drones that pose a threat to troops and bases overseas. The service announced this month that it has been testing an upgraded laser system, known as the High Energy Laser Weapon System 2, or H2, through a series of experiments that began last summer at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. #MilitaryHeadlines, #AirForceTopics, #GearAnEquipment, #MilitaryTechnology

The Air Force with its Flying Car in 2021

The U.S. Air Force is planning to put its futuristic flying car through a series of tests next year that will help determine how the service can use the vehicle, at home or deployed. The Air Force Research Lab's AFWERX innovation program announced the service's Agility Prime has cleared several regulations that moves planning forward for its "organic resupply bus," or ORB. The flying car, the S4 made by aerospace company Joby Aviation, passed a Technical Airworthiness Authority (TAA) evaluation, the initial step that enables the unusual aircraft "to fly under Air Force contract in early 2021," the service said in a December release. #FlyingCar #Flying #FlyingCars #NewFlyingCar #FlyingCarTesting #Testing #FirstFlyingCar #ElectricFlyingCar #Hexa, #HexaAircraft

The US Air Force: Mysterious full scale prototype of its future fighter jet

The U.S. Air Force has secretly designed, built and flown at least one prototype of its enigmatic next-generation fighter jet, the service’s top acquisition official.
The development is certain to shock the defense community, which last saw the first flight of an experimental fighter during the battle for the Joint Strike Fighter contract 20 years ago. With the Air Force’s future fighter program still in its infancy, the rollout and successful first flight of a demonstrator was not expected for years.
